On a regular basis, the news reports stories of disasters (natural and man-made) that cause disruption, massive damage, and loss of life. For businesses, emergencies cancause damage to buildings, equipment and also threaten the safety and health of employees. To prepare for an emergency, employees must be trained in emergency situations so they can have a clear understanding of their role and know how to follow the company’s emergency action plan should a disaster occur.

The Emergency Response Team (ERT) orientation is designed to give new team members a general orientation to their company’s Emergency Action Plan and the ERT.
